Transfiguration School Drama Club Presents “Willy Wonka, Jr.”

Transfiguration School's Willy Wonka JuniorTransfiguration School, in Tarrytown, has a long history of providing students with a rich cultural experience. This year, Transfiguration School is excited to announce a newly formed Drama Club, led by Peter Royston.

Forty-two students, in Pre-Kindergarten through 8th Grade, have been learning about the many aspects of theater production, including acting, directing, set and costume design, and more.  They have been hard at work for the past several months, and are set to take the stage with their inaugural production of “Willy Wonka, Jr.”, Roald Dahl's timeless story of the world famous candy man and his quest to find an heir.  This story will come to life, as the students perform in this stage adaptation of “Charlie and The Chocolate Factory”.  Performances will be held Friday, June 18th and Saturday, June 19th, at 7:00 p.m. in the school gymnasium, located at 40 Prospect Avenue, Tarrytown.  Tickets will be sold at the door.  Adults $6.00 and Children/Seniors $4.00.
