Tarrytown Nursery School 60th Anniversary and Celebration at J.P. Doyle’s

Tarrytown Nursery School, Tarrytown’s non-sectarian, cooperative nursery school for 2, 3 and 4-year olds, commemorates its 60th year of operation with a 60th Anniversary Celebration at J.P. Doyle’s Restaurant, 48 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow on Saturday, March 6, from 1-4 p.m.

The nursery school invites current families, alumni and the community to join in the celebration which will include a silent and live auction with merchandise, local bar and restaurant gift certificates, hotel stays, tickets to sporting events and party packages.  Tickets are $40 each and include an open bar (beer, wine, soda) and buffet meal.  Donations are tax deductible and proceeds from the event will benefit the Tarrytown Nursery School.

“As a school that truly values our community and our long history educating the children of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow, we are really excited to be able to host our 60th anniversary event at a mainstay like J.P. Doyle’s,” said Tarrytown Nursery School chairwoman Karen Kuhn.  “We are looking forward to an afternoon of fun, food and memories with all of the alumni who have been a part of our family over the past 60 years and hope to raise some money for playground upgrades and school programs to benefit our students for years to come.”

To purchase tickets or donate items and services, email tarrytownnurseryschool@gmail.com or call the school at 914-631-8227.

"I have had the pleasure of being part of the Tarrytown Nursery School tradition in multiple capacities," says Pre-K teacher Rosie O'Keefe.  "I started at the school as an involved parent.  Twenty years ago, I became a teacher at the school and now serve as Director as well.  I look forward to seeing some familiar faces, students and parents alike, as we celebrate our 60th anniversary."
