The Irvington Public Library will host Bespoke Education, Inc. and Options for College, Inc. on Saturday, March 28th from 3:00-4:30 p.m.

Topics of discussion will include the college admissions process and the tests that students must take in order to prepare to apply. Tim Levin, Founder and CEO of Bespoke Education, with offices in Manhattan and Irvington, will be discussing the SAT, ACT and SAT 2 tests. He will explain the differences between the tests and present information that will help parents and students decide which tests to take and when to take them. Tim will analyze the college admissions tests in-depth and compare SAT and ACT question types and structure. He will also explain how SAT 2 subject tests work and how to select among the multitude of tests that the College Board offers.

Keith Berman, President of Options for College, Inc., and an Irvington native, will deliver a presentation entitled: Where I Should Apply, and How: A Look at the College Admissions Process. Mr. Berman, a Certified Educational Planner, has been quoted in articles from The River Journal to U.S. News and World Report. He will focus on a few fundamental questions for families and students: Where should I apply? How likely am I to get accepted? Should I apply early? How do colleges decide whom to accept? His talk will include information from actual students along with a list of four suggested steps that prepared families can take immediately, and five suggested steps that they should take to prepare for senior year. Families will leave with a concrete way to approach decisions about what comes next in the admissions process.
